"Well yesterday 9/5/2013, I went racing into the shop at about 5:27 p.m. (they close at 5:30) all I wanted to do was drop my vacuum off to have it looked at another day, and given a price since I knew it was time for them to close. Ted greeted me, asked me what the problem was and he said, “I'll just look at it right now”. I said, “You're closing.” He said, “It's not a problem” and took it in the back. About 5 seconds later he called me to the back room. I had one of the hoses hooked up incorrectly and he showed me what happened and I was on my way - NO CHARGE.

This store has "old fashioned service" which to me is priceless and is hard to find anywhere these days. I will definitely go back especially since they repair so many different small appliances, T.Vs etc., not just vacuums and sewing machines.

"I took my Oreck vacuum here for repair. I was greeted by employees immediately and helped by a young man named Nolan. He asked what issues I was having, listened and ran a quick diagnostic test. He advised me that my vacuum was running fine, but needed a tune up, and that the filters needed to be cleaned out (we have kitties). He told me the service would be $99 and came with a one year guarantee and that I could pick up my vacuum that very day! All promises were met and even picked up my Oreck before promised. The first thing I did was vacuum when I got home. The Oreck runs like new! I am going to bring my canister vacuum back for a tune up as well. I also noticed that D & H has some great sewing classes. I am going to have to check those out. On another note, this shop is meticulously clean. Not at all junked up like other vacuum repair stores I have seen."
